chisto ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, and safeguards your information.

1. Information We Collect

The App stores and processes the following data: - Cleaning session records (date, duration, activity types) - Home settings and cleaning rhythm preferences - Reminder schedules - App appearance settings - Style purchase entitlement status - Body weight you optionally enter, or choose to read from Apple Health, for calorie estimates

The App accesses the following with your permission: - HealthKit data: cleaning workouts, heart rate, and active energy burned during active cleaning sessions - Body Mass: only when you choose "Use Apple Health weight"; the App uses the latest readable weight and refreshes it while that option remains selected - Notifications: to send cleaning reminders at your chosen times

If you choose to contact support, the App opens an editable email draft containing the App version and build number, iOS version, and device model. You can review, edit, or remove these details before sending. If you send the email, we receive your email address, message, and any details left in the draft.

2. How We Use Your Information

All data is used solely to provide the App's core functionality: - Tracking your cleaning sessions and progress - Recording workout data to Apple Health during cleaning sessions - Sending scheduled cleaning reminders - Displaying cleaning statistics and streaks - Responding to support requests and troubleshooting reported problems

3. Data Storage

Cleaning history, home settings, reminders, achievements, and style entitlement status are stored on your device and may sync across your devices through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit.

If you add a chisto widget or Apple Watch complication, the App shares a read-only summary with its extension on the same device: home name and creation date, cleaning dates, and cleaning rhythm. iPhone widgets also receive style artwork/colors/fonts. These summaries exclude weight, calorie values, Health identifiers, and purchase receipts. The summary caches are excluded from device backups and cleared by "Delete All App Data". The system controls when displayed widgets and complications refresh.

HealthKit samples, body measurements, and sensor-derived calorie values are not stored in chisto's CloudKit database. Your chosen weight and each session's weight input are kept in non-synchronizing, device-only Keychain storage. Weight choices and session inputs may be transferred directly between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. Health workout identifiers are also stored outside chisto's CloudKit database and may be transferred between the paired devices to recognize the same App-created workout and avoid duplicates. Calorie estimates are recomputed locally, not stored in CloudKit.

When you complete a tracked cleaning session, the App can write workout data to Apple Health, including recorded heart rate and the same active-calorie estimate shown in the App. Estimates use cleaning type, active duration, and your chosen weight, or a generic 70 kg reference if you skip weight setup. They are estimates, not measurements of your actual energy expenditure. Each new session retains the weight used when it was recorded; changing your weight later does not rewrite that session. Older sessions without a saved weight retain the generic estimate. Workout metadata can include the weight used, home name, and selected cleaning types. Editing cleaning activities can replace the App-created workout with the updated estimate while preserving its available recorded measurements. For a manually entered session, the App asks whether you want to save the workout and displayed estimate to Apple Health as user-entered active energy. Nothing is written to HealthKit for a manual session unless you explicitly choose the Health action. Entering weight in chisto does not write a Body Mass sample to Apple Health.

Device-only weight inputs do not restore through chisto's iCloud sync or a device backup. A paired device or an accessible App-created Health workout may supply a session's saved weight again; otherwise that device uses the generic reference. Choosing the generic estimate in Body weight settings removes the current weight choice but preserves inputs already used for past sessions.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple services including iCloud/CloudKit, HealthKit, notifications, and StoreKit. Purchases are processed by Apple. The App does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Support messages are sent using the mail service you choose. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, troubleshoot, or meet applicable legal obligations.

5. Data Sharing

The App does not sell or trade your personal data. It does not share App data with third parties except when you choose to send a support message through your selected mail service. No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device and, when iCloud sync is available, in your private iCloud account until you delete it.

- Delete an individual cleaning session from History to remove that record. - Use "Delete All App Data" in Settings to remove chisto user data from the device and, when iCloud sync is available, request deletion of its synced private CloudKit user records. Random technical deletion-prevention markers may remain so an offline device cannot restore data deleted earlier; these markers do not contain cleaning, home, health, purchase, or contact information. - "Delete All App Data" also clears local weight preferences, session weight inputs, and workout-replacement recovery records. It does not delete your independently stored Apple Health data. - Device-only Keychain entries may survive uninstalling the App. Use "Delete All App Data" before uninstalling to clear chisto's saved weight inputs. Uninstalling does not by itself guarantee deletion of data already synced to iCloud.

HealthKit data can be managed independently through the Apple Health app.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
